About the Role
You will build and scale the procure-to-pay function, develop its long-term strategy, oversee vendor onboarding, invoice processing, payment runs, and employee expense reporting, lead and develop the AP team, automate manual processes, implement financial technology, maintain internal controls, support audits, and partner on cash flow forecasting and performance reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 8+ years of progressive accounts payable experience
- At least 4 years of leadership experience managing a team
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume tech, SaaS, or startup environment
- Experience building processes from the ground up
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems and AP platforms
- Leadership and team-scaling experience
- Analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with Sage Intacct and Coupa
- CPA or CTP certification
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the long-term vision for Accounts Payable
- Oversee vendor onboarding, invoice processing, payment runs, and employee expense reporting
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments
- Recruit, mentor, and lead the AP team
- Identify and eliminate manual processes
- Integrate financial technology to improve efficiency
- Collaborate with Procurement, Engineering, Treasury, and FP&A
- Design and maintain internal controls for GAAP and SOX compliance
- Serve as the primary contact for AP-related audits
- Support cash flow forecasting
- Develop and monitor AP performance indicators
