About the Role
You will provide legal, operational, and strategic advice to blockchain intelligence teams, advising on data collection methods and product counseling. You will support law enforcement relations with subpoenas and expert witness matters, and deliver litigation and regulatory guidance on evidentiary, AI, privacy, sales, and employment issues. You will negotiate and review contracts, manage dispute avoidance and resolution, advise on corporate governance and risk matters, and assist with other ad hoc legal projects as needed.
Requirements
- 6-8 years prior experience at a government agency, reputable law firm, or in-house
- Experience handling litigation and regulatory matters and engaging with law enforcement and government actors globally
- Experience with criminal and civil law matters and advising non-attorney clients on operational compliance
- Effective communication and cross-functional project management skills
- Service-oriented, able to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
- Executive presence and negotiation skills
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school and active bar membership in good standing of at least one U.S. state
- Tech or web3/blockchain industry experience helpful but not required
Responsibilities
- Provide legal, operational, and strategic advice to blockchain intelligence teams on data collection methods
- Advise and support law enforcement relations on subpoenas and expert witness testimony
- Provide litigation and regulatory support across the enterprise, advising on evidentiary, product, AI, privacy, sales, and employment issues
- Negotiate and review contracts and provide product counseling
- Manage dispute avoidance and resolution, corporate governance, and risk matters
- Assist with other ad hoc legal matters as needed
