About the Role
You will advise stakeholders and senior leadership on complex regulatory matters and provide practical legal guidance for business activities. You will support regulatory applications, notifications, and ongoing engagement with supervisory authorities. You will monitor developments in crypto and financial services regulation and translate them into actionable guidance. You will partner with Compliance, Financial Crime, and Risk teams to deliver a coordinated regulatory approach. You will lead legal workstreams for M&A, including due diligence and negotiating transaction documentation. You will oversee corporate legal matters, manage legal entity administration, and provide strategic legal advice to senior risk and board stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of relevant legal experience in fintech, a regulated financial institution, and/or a reputable law firm
- Strong knowledge of financial services regulation; exposure to crypto regulation preferred
- Proven experience supporting licensing, regulatory change and supervisory engagement in complex regulated environments
- Demonstrated experience handling M&A transactions and broader corporate legal matters
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to build trust across teams and seniority levels
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Dutch preferred
- Pragmatic, resilient and collaborative mindset with high integrity and ownership
Responsibilities

- Monitor regulation developments and translate them into practical guidance
- Partner with Compliance, Financial Crime and Risk teams to drive a coordinated regulatory approach
- Contribute to legal priorities across regulatory change, licensing and governance initiatives
- Lead legal workstreams for M&A including due diligence, drafting and negotiating transaction documentation
- Oversee corporate legal matters and legal entity management
- Provide strategic legal advice to the Chief Risk Officer and the Board
