About the Role
You design, provision, and maintain ultra-low-latency AWS and hybrid network infrastructure for trading systems. You optimize Linux and compute performance, automate infrastructure with Terraform and Ansible, scale trading platforms, build observability pipelines, mentor engineers, and lead critical incident escalations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, systems engineering, or SRE
- Experience with low-latency electronic trading environments
- Advanced Linux kernel performance tuning, memory management, and network I/O optimization
- Experience with AWS low-latency constructs, placement groups, ENA/ENI, and EC2 optimization
- Experience with FIX, Aeron, or low-latency colocation connectivity
- Familiarity with HFT workflows or crypto exchange API integrations
- Proficiency with Terraform and Ansible
- Understanding of physical network topologies, TCP/IP, UDP, and low-latency routing
- Experience with Docker, Docker Compose, Jenkins, and deployment pipelines
- Experience with Grafana Cloud, Alloy, or Prometheus
- Python or Bash scripting capability
- Rust or Java development experience preferred
- Experience with FPGAs, SmartNICs, custom network drivers, or PTP preferred
Responsibilities
- Design, provision, and maintain ultra-low-latency AWS and hybrid network topologies
- Optimize Linux kernels and compute performance
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management with Terraform and Ansible
- Architect infrastructure for expanding trading and exchange integrations
- Build telemetry and monitoring pipelines with Grafana Cloud and Alloy
- Guide the technical roadmap
- Mentor junior engineers
- Lead escalations for critical system incidents
