About the Role

You will run month-end and year-end close, prepare reporting, and manage group consolidation across global entities. You will lead technical accounting, statutory reporting, audits, controls, ERP integration, and accounting for inventory and manufacturing costs while improving close and reporting workflows.

Requirements

  • ACA or ACCA qualification, with CIMA considered
  • 4+ years of relevant post-qualified or equivalent accounting experience across multi-entity, multi-currency groups
  • Technical knowledge of FRS 102 and IFRS
  • Experience preparing statutory accounts, technical papers, and external audits
  • Hands-on close and consolidation experience
  • Experience with inventory and cost accounting, standard costing, or cost-centre reporting
  • Experience building process, controls, and documentation in a high-growth environment
  • Experience with AI, automation, and ERP implementation such as SAP or NetSuite

Responsibilities

  • Run month-end and year-end close, including journals, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, payroll postings, and balance-sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly management reporting and reporting packs
  • Operate and improve group consolidation, intercompany reconciliation, eliminations, and multi-currency translation
  • Prepare group cash-flow reporting and supporting schedules
  • Prepare technical accounting assessments, papers, and memos
  • Develop accounting policies for revenue, inventory, R&D, leases, and share-based payments
  • Lead accounting for inventory and manufacturing costs, including standard costing, cost of sales, and stock provisioning
  • Support transition from FRS 102 to IFRS
  • Prepare UK statutory financial statements and support local filings
  • Manage the external audit process, auditor relationships, PBC lists, and technical position papers
  • Build and document internal controls, processes, and finance systems integrations
  • Use AI and workflow tooling to automate reconciliation, reporting, and close processes
