About the Role
You will design, integrate, test, and deploy guidance, navigation, and control capabilities for autonomous aircraft. You will develop reusable autonomy architectures and algorithms, build simulated models, and collaborate with UAS vendors to integrate software with OEM hardware.
Requirements
- Master's degree in aerospace, robotics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, or a similar field
- 6+ years of hands-on experience developing GNC software for autonomous systems
- Experience developing autonomy algorithms in C++
- Experience with outer-loop control systems or path planning algorithms
- Knowledge of control theory, dynamics, and optimization
- Experience developing and simulating 3DoF or 6DoF air-vehicle models
- Flight-testing and data-analysis experience
- Experience with PX4 or Ardupilot UAS GNC and navigation systems
- Functional, procedural, data-oriented, and object-oriented programming experience
- Ability to hold UK Security Clearance
