Required and preferred rules are kept separate and reflect the wording in the original posting.

About the Role

You will work with AI agents to create high-performance low-level kernels in a domain-specific language for a custom ML accelerator. You will validate functional correctness and numerical accuracy, analyze kernel performance to identify bottlenecks, and develop a harness that recursively improves kernel generation with less human involvement.

Requirements

  • Be currently enrolled in an MS or PhD program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computational Science, or a related quantitative field
  • Demonstrate use of AI agents and harnesses to improve coding performance
  • Know transformer-inference kernels, performance analysis, and optimization
  • Be familiar with low-level ML accelerator DSLs such as CUDA, Triton, or Gluon

Responsibilities

  • Create high-performance low-level kernels with AI agents for a custom ML accelerator
  • Ensure kernel functional correctness and numerical accuracy
  • Analyze kernel performance to identify bottlenecks and improvement areas
  • Develop a custom harness to recursively improve kernel generation and reduce human involvement

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Mental wellness support
  • Gym membership and wellness programs
  • Bonus opportunities and equity
  • Employee provident fund and employee discounts
  • Paid time off, bereavement leave, sick leave, and parental leave
  • Education reimbursement
  • Volunteer time off
  • Access to Google offices, cafes, wellness centers, and massages
