About the Role

You will design and implement real-time C++ embedded software, interpret circuit schematics and component datasheets, and define design constraints. You will write simulations and tests, integrate MCU and embedded Linux code into SIL and HIL testing, document designs, debug systems, and optimize performance and power consumption.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of electrical and firmware design experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Knowledge of microcontroller-based control systems, power conversion, and motor drives
  • Proficiency in C++ and Python
  • Proficiency with Altium Designer, OrCAD, or Eagle
  • Knowledge of MCU peripherals and CAN, UART, and I2C protocols
  • Experience with testing and validation for military-standard designs
  • 3+ years developing real-time, safety-critical embedded systems
  • Experience deploying real-time control software in robotics or autonomous systems
  • Ability to integrate software with sensors, actuators, and control hardware

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement real-time embedded software in C++
  • Interpret microcontroller, digital, and analog IC datasheets and circuit schematics
  • Define electrical design constraints and preferences
  • Write simulations, unit tests, and system tests
  • Integrate MCU tests into the CI environment
  • Integrate MCU and embedded Linux code into SIL and HIL tests
  • Document designs, schematics, simulation results, and test protocols
  • Test, simulate, debug, and optimize embedded systems
  • Improve code performance and reduce power consumption
