About the Role

Lead and mature cloud and infrastructure financial management capabilities across GCP, AWS, and on-prem environments. Drive cost transparency, optimize cloud spend, and partner with engineering, product, and finance teams to keep global infrastructure efficient, predictable, and aligned with business priorities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, SRE, or DevOps with a focus on cost optimization.
  • Hands-on GCP and AWS experience with knowledge of cloud pricing and cost management tooling.
  • Deep knowledge of Kubernetes resource allocation, autoscaling, workload placement, and cost attribution.
  • Proficiency with GCP Billing exports, BigQuery, AWS CUR, Kubecost, CloudHealth, observability tools, and dashboards.
  • Strong analytical and data-engineering skills, including SQL pipelines and forecasting models.
  • Experience influencing engineering, product, and finance stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Professional-level GCP or AWS certifications preferred.
  • FinOps Framework knowledge or certification preferred.
  • Gaming, SaaS, high-growth technology, multi-cloud, chargeback/showback, Terraform, Helm, GitOps, data analytics, cloud architecture, or financial modeling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cloud cost optimization across GCP, AWS, and on-prem infrastructure.
  • Analyze compute, storage, networking, and Kubernetes usage for cost-saving opportunities.
  • Build forecasting models, dashboards, and automated cost reporting.
  • Develop tagging standards, budgeting processes, and governance policies.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Finance, and Product on workload placement and scaling.
  • Drive FinOps practices including rightsizing, reservation planning, autoscaling, and multi-cloud efficiency.
  • Build tooling and pipelines for cost monitoring, anomaly detection, and usage attribution.
  • Train engineering teams, run FinOps reviews, and communicate insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Track cloud pricing models, vendor offerings, and industry trends.
