About the Role

You will serve as the primary finance partner for Clinical Development and manage financial planning for clinical work. You will guide budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning; build patient-driven study models; support clinical vendor budgeting and invoice processes; deliver variance analysis; improve financial workflows; and act as the Cambridge site finance lead.

Requirements

  • Direct experience managing clinical development finances and FP&A or business partnering within biotech, pharma, or life sciences.
  • Experience building and maintaining patient-driven financial models.
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or another quantitative field.
  • Executive-level communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Track record in business partnering and stakeholder management.
  • Experience using LLMs and other AI to drive efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary finance partner for the Clinical Development team.
  • Provide strategic financial partnership to support clinical portfolio objectives.
  • Guide clinical budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning.
  • Build and maintain patient-driven financial models for clinical studies.
  • Evaluate, benchmark, and negotiate clinical vendor budgets during RFP processes.
  • Support vendor onboarding, invoice review and approval, P2P processes, and troubleshooting.
  • Deliver variance analysis and improve financial reporting and workflows.
  • Develop efficient accrual processes.
  • Act as the Cambridge site finance lead and partner with site leadership.
