About the Role
You will lead and grow a distributed engineering team building Kraken Pro's trading interface. You will guide frontend architecture and delivery, partner with Product, Design, and Backend teams, improve user experience and frontend performance, modernize the frontend stack, and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on frontend or full-stack development
- 3+ years leading and mentoring 4–8 engineers in a distributed environment
- Deep experience with TypeScript and React, including React Native
- Understanding of performance optimization, accessibility, and responsive UI design
- Experience collaborating with Product, Design, and cross-functional teams
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a distributed engineering team
- Drive the design, architecture, and delivery of performant, modular, and accessible frontend systems
- Partner with Product, Design, and Backend teams to deliver the product roadmap
- Improve user experience through dogfooding, feedback loops, and usability improvements
- Mentor and develop engineers
- Modernize the frontend stack and improve reliability and performance
