About the Role
You will develop lunar mission concepts and designs for landers, rovers, power systems, and spacecraft. You will create technical proposal content, define product and system architectures, conduct trade studies, perform power and avionics analysis, estimate program needs, resolve technical risks, and translate customer requirements into actionable goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a similar discipline
- 10 years of relevant engineering experience
- Experience in space-system development, systems engineering, avionics, power systems, electrical systems, or another listed engineering area
- Experience developing technical content for proposals and external customer presentations
- Experience authoring and decomposing mission- and system-level requirements
- Understanding of launch, space, and lunar environments
- U.S. Person status and eligibility to obtain required export authorizations
Responsibilities
- Develop and review concepts and designs for lunar landers, rovers, surface power systems, and spacecraft
- Support technical content development for business, research, development, and mission opportunities
- Develop system-level technical visions for new products across hardware and software domains
- Develop and perform technical, business, and programmatic trade studies
- Perform power and avionics design and analysis for mission concepts
- Contribute to schedule, resourcing, and budget estimates
- Resolve technical risks and challenges with engineering disciplines, partners, customers, and vendors
- Translate customer requirements into product goals and system architectures
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to ensure solutions meet mission and business needs
