About the Role
You will design, validate, and release electrical wire harnesses and subassemblies for autonomous vehicles. You will create schematics and interconnect diagrams, select components, coordinate manufacturing, conduct technical reviews and testing, and troubleshoot electrical systems with internal teams and suppliers.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of hardware development experience
- Understanding of electrical harness designs
- Troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with IPC quality standards
- Experience debugging CAN and Ethernet hardware buses
- Technical documentation skills
Responsibilities
- Design high-quality harness assemblies for high-speed, low-voltage, and high-power systems
- Design and validate custom automotive harnesses
- Work with external harness manufacturing partners
- Develop wire-harness schematics and diagrams
- Manage harness BOMs and component selection
- Use automated tools for harness validation
- Own the full harness-design lifecycle
- Lead root-cause analysis and resolve electrical-system issues
- Collaborate with software, mechanical, manufacturing, and supplier partners
