About the Role
You will structure, draft, and negotiate real estate transactions supporting data center development. You will develop form agreements and local-counsel networks, lead negotiations, oversee outside counsel, coordinate transactions across functions, and provide proactive legal and commercial advice.
Requirements
- Active license to practice law in at least one jurisdiction
- Experience leading complex commercial agreements for real estate development
- Experience with land acquisition, leasing, real estate finance, zoning, construction, title, or insurance
- Experience making commercially pragmatic decisions in high-stakes situations
- Experience overseeing outside counsel
- Ability to communicate complex legal issues clearly
Responsibilities
- Structure, draft, and negotiate real estate transactions
- Create a library of real estate form agreements
- Establish a network of local counsel
- Lead complex negotiations with counterparties
- Manage outside counsel on scope, quality, and spend
- Coordinate transactions with site selection, development, finance, and delivery stakeholders
- Advise business leaders on legal and commercial issues
