About the Role

You will support the Compliance Monitoring Programme, deputize for the MLRO and Head of Compliance, review marketing materials, oversee complaints, maintain compliance policies, liaise with regulators and external partners, prepare board reporting, and help embed the compliance framework across functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in law, finance, business administration, or a related field
  • Relevant compliance certification preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in a compliance, legal, or regulatory role within financial services, fintech, or crypto industries
  • Experience dealing directly with regulators and auditors
  • Strong project management and remediation experience
  • Understanding of the MFSA regulatory framework or equivalent ESMA-supervised NCA
  • Understanding of MiFID II conduct-of-business requirements and EU financial services regulation
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Sound judgment and appropriate escalation

Responsibilities

  • Support scheduled and ad-hoc compliance reviews
  • Track remediation and report outcomes to senior management and the Board
  • Deputize for the MLRO and Head of Compliance
  • Assess and escalate suspicious activity and referrals
  • Review and approve client-facing marketing materials
  • Oversee the complaints process
  • Maintain compliance manuals, policies, and procedures
  • Support regulatory correspondence and breach reporting
  • Liaise with law enforcement and external partners
  • Prepare compliance reports for senior management and the Board
  • Partner with Data, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Product, and Risk teams
