About the Role
You will manage a portfolio of merchant accounts in arrears from initial outreach through repayment, recovery, or escalation. You will negotiate repayment plans, coordinate with Legal and Credit Risk, monitor portfolio performance, maintain audit-ready records, ensure regulatory compliance, and improve collections automation.
Requirements
- Experience in collections, account recovery, or credit operations at a lender, bank, fintech, or payments company
- Experience managing overdue business or consumer credit accounts
- Knowledge of US collections and servicing regulations
- Experience with collections platforms or CRM tools
- Excel or Google Sheets reporting skills
- Ability to use AI tools and automation for operational efficiency
- English communication skills
- Experience with commercial credit products, FDCPA, UDAAP, collections licensing, fair lending, legal escalations, settlements, charge-offs, or agency placements is preferred
- SQL, Looker, and collections process-improvement experience are preferred
Responsibilities
- Manage merchant accounts in arrears through resolution
- Negotiate and follow up on repayment plans
- Identify agreement breaches and coordinate next steps with Legal and Credit Risk
- Coordinate recoveries with Risk, Finance, Legal, and Product
- Monitor delinquency, roll, promise-to-pay, and cure rates
- Maintain audit-ready interaction and case-decision records
- Ensure recovery actions comply with US collections, servicing, and lending rules
- Improve collections tooling, automation, and workflows
