About the Role
You will define the data, ground truth, and biologically sound dataset splits needed for modelling goals. You will design evaluations, metrics, baselines, and failure analyses; fine-tune or evaluate genomic and protein models; conduct sequence and evolutionary analyses; and ensure datasets remain reproducible, traceable, and biologically reliable.
Requirements
- Experience curating data for life-science AI
- Experience training, fine-tuning, or running inference on models
- Bioinformatics and sequence informatics expertise
- Experience with genomic and protein analysis toolchains
- Sound software practices in reproducibility, version control, and pipelines
- Experience in human research, functional genomics, or clinically relevant work
- PhD in a relevant field, MSc with 1–3 years of relevant experience, or BSc with 3 or more years of relevant experience
Responsibilities
- Define and curate data, ground truth, and label quality for modelling goals
- Create biologically sound dataset splits
- Design evaluation metrics, baselines, and failure analyses
- Fine-tune and evaluate genomic or protein models
- Conduct sequence, alignment, annotation, comparative, and evolutionary analyses
- Build reproducible datasets and analyses using appropriate tooling
- Maintain dataset provenance, lineage, and integrity
