About the Role
Build detection, monitoring, case-management, and real-time risk systems supporting AML, KYC, sanctions screening, and financial-crime prevention. Integrate surveillance platforms, structure audit-grade data pipelines, reconcile financial data, and translate regulatory requirements into engineering systems with Compliance, Risk, and Legal stakeholders.
Requirements
- Backend engineering experience with detection, monitoring, or case-management tooling
- Experience with AML/BSA, KYC/EDD, or sanctions-screening obligations
- Experience integrating trade-surveillance and case-management platforms such as Eventus or Palantir
- Experience structuring audit-grade data pipelines
- Financial data modeling and ledger reconciliation experience
- Experience partnering with Compliance, Risk, and Legal teams
- Risk, fraud, or compliance-technology engineering experience at a fintech or crypto exchange
- Experience with real-time risk decisioning or transaction-monitoring systems is a plus
Responsibilities
- Build detection, monitoring, and case-management systems
- Integrate trade-surveillance and case-management platforms
- Structure audit-grade data pipelines with tiered storage and long-term S3 retention
- Model and reconcile financial data and ledger records
- Translate regulatory requirements into alerting, case queues, and investigative reporting
- Develop real-time risk decisioning and transaction-monitoring systems
- Collaborate with engineers across the platform
