About the Role
You will lead technical decisions across design, implementation, and validation for core blockchain systems. You will design and implement highly available Java or Kotlin and Spring Boot backends, improve database, cache, and asynchronous architectures, ensure asset consistency, lead root-cause analysis, define engineering quality practices, and mentor backend engineers.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of practical server development experience with Java or Kotlin and Spring Boot, or equivalent depth of understanding
- Experience defining complex business requirements as technical tasks and leading architecture design through implementation and validation
- Experience with transaction processing, isolation levels, indexes, locks, large-table design, and tuning in MySQL or other RDBMS
- Experience designing and operating event-driven architectures or distributed systems and resolving incidents
- Interest in investigating root causes and improving systems structurally
- Ability to clearly explain design intent and trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience migrating existing systems to microservices or overcoming structural limitations
- Experience operating caching strategies such as Redis and message queue systems
- Experience deploying and troubleshooting applications in Kubernetes and Docker environments
Responsibilities
- Set technical direction and lead key decisions during the design, implementation, and validation of core system projects
- Design highly available backend systems with Java or Kotlin and Spring Boot
- Implement core business-logic modules
- Identify bottlenecks and improve queries, schemas, caches, and asynchronous structures across RDBMS, Redis, and Kafka systems
- Analyze root causes of incidents and lead structural improvements
- Use MySQL transactions, isolation levels, and locking mechanisms to ensure asset consistency
- Define code review, testing, and technical-debt management standards
- Provide technical mentoring to junior and mid-level backend engineers
- Lead design reviews and internal technical knowledge sharing
