About the Role
You will support and project manage C-suite search assignments in close partnership with GA portfolio company management teams and investment professionals. You'll independently run searches for portfolio companies, identifying, sourcing, and qualifying senior executives where appropriate. You'll scope senior roles, develop position specifications, and research industries and market segments to map talent ecosystems. You'll build a research strategy based on defined specs, gain deep understanding of executive structures, and proactively engage and introduce qualified executives to investment professionals and portfolio companies. You'll build an evolving external network for future talent needs, support quantitative and qualitative management assessments, identify opportunities to syndicate processes across the portfolio, and use best practice tools like scorecards and interview guides. When external search firms are engaged, you'll coordinate the search process including screening, spec development, and feedback analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- 4-6 years of relevant experience; background in executive search, a high growth company or chief of staff role preferred
- Experience working in a leading executive search firm, preferably with exposure to services or consumer sectors
- Experience supporting search engagements or talent projects, including producing clear deliverables
- Experience engaging with external clients/candidates in the market
- Strong project management skills
- Analytical and intellectually curious
- Proficiency with AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT
- Strong attention to detail and follow through
- Ability to work independently and proactively in a global organization
- Demonstrated maturity and professional presence
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Responsibilities
- Support and project manage C-suite search assignments in partnership with GA PHC, portfolio company management teams and GA investment professionals
- Independently run searches for portfolio companies including identifying, sourcing, and qualifying senior executives
- Support the scoping of senior roles and development of position specifications
- Research new industries, market segments, and competitive landscapes to map the talent ecosystem
- Develop a research strategy that outlines targeted industries and companies based on a pre-defined spec
- Serve as an expert to the team on the markets and talent pools researched
- Proactively engage, assess and introduce qualified executives to GA investment professionals and portfolio companies
- Build an evolving external network focused on potential future talent
- Support quantitative and qualitative management assessments to identify capability gaps and learning opportunities
- Identify opportunities for syndicating processes across the portfolio
- Leverage best practice global tools and capabilities such as scorecards, interview guides, and competency models
- Coordinate search processes with external search firms including screening, spec development, and feedback analysis
