About the Role
Join ChainGPT's small, fast-moving team building Brain by AIVM, a platform focused on making enterprise AI verifiable, governed, and trustworthy. The role combines senior-level engineering judgment with AI-native development, rapid prototyping, production delivery, and significant ownership across the product.
Requirements
- 8–12+ years of experience building and shipping production software.
- Experience owning systems used by real users, including incidents, scale, reliability, and maintainability.
- Daily use of AI coding tools such as Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar.
- Ability to use AI agents while maintaining control over quality, security, and architecture.
- Deep software engineering fundamentals in architecture, debugging, system design, and code quality.
- Strong security instincts regarding risks in AI-generated code.
- Excellent judgment about AI capabilities, hallucinations, and when human expertise is required.
- Strong ownership mindset and willingness to handle ambiguity and difficult technical problems.
- Startup, 0→1, founder, first-engineer, or early-stage product experience.
Responsibilities
- Build and ship core product features, systems, and infrastructure.
- Turn AI-assisted prototypes into reliable, scalable, production-grade software.
- Own architecture, security, quality, and technical direction across major product areas.
- Use Codex, Claude Code, and other AI coding agents to increase engineering output.
- Direct, evaluate, and control agentic development workflows with human oversight.
- Help define engineering standards, architecture patterns, review practices, and AI-native workflows.
- Work with founders on product, strategy, technical tradeoffs, and execution.
- Debug complex issues, make high-judgment technical decisions, and raise the engineering bar.
