About the Role
You will own the fixed-asset lifecycle, maintain accurate records and reconciliations, calculate depreciation, and support month-end and quarter-end close activities. You will partner with stakeholders on asset treatment, audits, tax schedules, disclosures, and process automation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of fixed-asset or general-ledger accounting experience
- At least 2 years of experience in a high-growth technology or infrastructure company
- Knowledge of US GAAP, ASC 360, ASC 350-40, and ASC 842
- Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle
- Analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Communication skills for explaining accounting concepts to non-accounting stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Own the fixed-asset lifecycle, including capitalization, transfers, disposals, write-offs, tagging, and impairment assessments
- Maintain and reconcile the fixed-asset subledger against the general ledger
- Calculate and record monthly depreciation for all asset classes
- Evaluate capital versus expense treatment for hardware and infrastructure purchases
- Prepare fixed-asset, depreciation, cash-flow, and close schedules
- Support external audit requests related to fixed assets
- Develop and enforce capitalization policies and accounting procedures
- Improve fixed-asset tracking and close processes through automation
- Provide fixed-asset data for tax depreciation schedules and tax provision work
- Assist with PP&E financial-statement disclosures
