About the Role
You will lead and scale a security engineering team and own the technical security roadmap. You will design security architecture, oversee cloud and platform security, lead transformation projects, report programme progress, partner with research teams, and serve as an escalation point for incidents and vulnerabilities.
Requirements
- Experience managing, building, or leading technical security teams
- Experience defining, implementing, and defending security architectures for multi-tenant cloud systems
- Security and regulatory exposure in AI, machine learning, or life sciences
- Experience securing cloud platforms, preferably GCP
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Zero Trust frameworks
- Ability to use AI and agentic workflows for automation
- Business and risk evaluation skills
- Ability to communicate technical risks to executives and non-security stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor security engineers
- Co-design and implement the technical security strategy
- Lead security transformation projects
- Oversee cloud and platform security
- Develop and maintain a KPI-driven roadmap
- Partner with medical teams and ML researchers
- Act as a technical liaison with Google and security vendors
- Escalate complex security incidents and architectural vulnerabilities
