About the Role
You will lead technical strategy, operations, secure-system compliance, integration, stakeholder engagement, and workforce development for classified computing capabilities. You will direct a technical portfolio, manage resources and risks, oversee secure operations, and supervise group leaders.
Requirements
- BS degree in computer science, engineering, data science, information systems, or a related field with 12 years of relevant technical experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Technical depth in HPC, AI/ML, advanced analytics, cyber technologies, or large-scale data systems
- Experience leading complex technical programs in classified and unclassified environments
- Understanding of secure system design, risk management, and compliance in national security or government contexts
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing technical resources
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy SCI clearance
- Eligibility for Special Access Programs may be required
- Pass a pre-placement drug test and participate in an ongoing random drug testing program
- May be subject to random polygraph testing
Responsibilities
- Lead technical vision, strategy, and execution for advanced technology capabilities
- Assess and mature emerging technologies for operational application
- Translate mission needs into executable technical solutions
- Direct day-to-day execution of a technical portfolio
- Ensure delivery meets cost, schedule, performance, and security requirements
- Establish and track performance metrics
- Ensure compliance with security, information assurance, export control, and classified computing requirements
- Partner with security, cybersecurity, and IT organizations to maintain system authorization and compliance
- Identify and mitigate technical, security, and operational risks
- Guide integration of advanced technologies into operational environments
- Drive prototyping, pilot efforts, and transition to sustained operations
- Serve as a technical interface for sponsors and stakeholders
- Lead, mentor, and develop a technical workforce
- Support workforce planning, professional development, and succession planning
