About the Role
You will build and own security improvements across cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, and CI/CD systems. You will implement detection and response capabilities, investigate security alerts through recovery, and create tooling and automation that prevent recurrence. You will work directly in cloud infrastructure and DevOps systems, reporting to the Head of Security within Security Operations.
Requirements
- Have 5 or more years of hands-on security engineering experience
- Have cloud security engineering experience with AWS or GCP
- Implement IAM, networking, compute, storage, and logging improvements
- Have Kubernetes security and container security experience
- Know CI/CD security, secrets management, artifact integrity, and secure platform patterns
- Have incident response and investigation experience
- Program or script with Python or similar
- Use infrastructure as code such as Terraform
- Have endpoint security tooling experience such as CrowdStrike
Responsibilities
- Build and own technical security improvements across cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, and CI/CD
- Ship production security changes when needed
- Design and improve detection and response capabilities
- Hunt, investigate, and respond to security alerts and suspicious activity
- Perform incident triage, containment, eradication, recovery, and learning activities
- Write tooling and detection logic to prevent recurrence
- Build internal security tooling and automation
