About the Role
You will build detection rules, behavioral analytics, threat-hunting workflows, and automated incident-response capabilities. You will investigate security incidents, harden infrastructure, improve telemetry, participate in on-call coverage, conduct post-incident reviews, and mentor security engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on security engineering experience in detection engineering, threat hunting, or DFIR
- Programming or scripting proficiency in Python, Go, Rust, or Bash
- Knowledge of AWS or GCP security, Linux internals, container runtime security, and network telemetry
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure provider security requirements
- Experience writing detection rules using SIEM, YARA, Sigma, Falco, or EDR queries
- Experience conducting forensic investigations and triaging multi-stage cloud attacks
- Technical communication skills for vulnerabilities, incident postmortems, and architecture designs
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain detection rules, signatures, and behavioral analytics
- Conduct proactive threat-hunting operations across cloud and AI workloads
- Develop detection logic and playbooks as code to reduce manual triage
- Build AI-powered detection and investigation workflows
- Lead complex incident-response investigations, forensic analysis, root-cause identification, and containment
- Architect automated response and SOAR orchestration pipelines
- Partner with platform and infrastructure engineers to harden systems and improve telemetry
- Participate in an on-call rotation for incident containment
- Conduct post-incident reviews and drive remediation
- Mentor junior and mid-level security engineers
