About the Role
You will create and execute scalable tests for robotics software, ROS 2 interfaces, and low-level control APIs. You will validate systems in simulation and on physical hardware, automate testing workflows, conduct stability and fault-injection tests, and document and resolve issues with developers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience testing robotics software, ideally with ROS 2
- Understanding of unit, integration, system, and hardware-in-the-loop testing
- Proficiency in C++, Python, Linux, and ROS 2 tools
- Experience with gTest/gMock and mocking low-level APIs
- Ability to work safely around robotic hardware
- Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows
Responsibilities
- Develop test plans for robotics software and ROS 2 control APIs
- Design unit, integration, system, and hardware-in-the-loop tests
- Build mock environments for ROS 2 topics, services, actions, and parameters
- Execute integration tests in simulation and on physical robotic hardware
- Test state reporting, diagnostics, error handling, and hardware interfaces
- Conduct software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop validation
- Develop automated test scripts and custom ROS 2 testing tools
- Perform stability, performance, and fault-injection tests
- Document results, analyze behavior, and resolve issues with developers
- Refine testing workflows to improve coverage and safety
