About the Role

You will develop SLAM, localization, mapping, sensor-fusion, and control algorithms; integrate robot sensors; implement kinematics and dynamics models; tune controllers; build simulation and visualization tools; and evolve the robotics framework.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional robotics software development experience
  • C++ programming skills
  • Understanding of SLAM, localization, state estimation, and sensor fusion
  • Understanding of robot kinematics, coordinate transformations, and URDF modeling
  • Experience developing and tuning control algorithms on real robots
  • Experience with sensor calibration, system identification, and hardware-software debugging
  • Experience developing production-quality software, architecture, and APIs
  • Understanding of real-time position, velocity, or torque control
  • Written and verbal English communication skills
  • Based in Munich or open to relocating
  • Experience with high-degree-of-freedom robots, advanced control methods, Pinocchio, GTSAM, Ceres, g2o, visual SLAM, ROS 2, NVIDIA Isaac Sim, or MuJoCo

Responsibilities

  • Develop SLAM, localization, mapping, sensor fusion, and state-estimation algorithms
  • Integrate cameras, depth sensors, LiDAR, IMUs, encoders, and other sensors
  • Develop and optimize robot controllers
  • Implement URDF-based models, kinematics, dynamics, and coordinate transformations
  • Calibrate systems and tune controllers
  • Develop visualization, simulation, debugging, and performance-evaluation tools
  • Integrate SLAM and control with perception, motion planning, and robot execution
  • Contribute to the robotics framework architecture
  • Use UI SDKs and AI-assisted workflows
