About the Role
You will help execute the compliance strategy across eToro’s Australian entities and advise on risk and compliance matters. You will support regulatory engagement, maintain the AFCA relationship, enhance compliance frameworks, provide second-line oversight and board reporting, monitor compliance plans, manage risk activities, deliver training, and support product, audit, data-analysis, and remediation projects.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Finance, Law, Risk Management, or a related discipline
- At least 7 years of risk and compliance experience in Australian financial services, including at least 3 years at Manager level or equivalent
- Extensive knowledge of ASIC regulations, AFSL obligations, and relevant Regulatory Guides
- Experience managing or supporting regulatory relationships with ASIC, AUSTRAC, and AFCA
- AML/CTF compliance experience and familiarity with AUSTRAC reporting obligations
- Ability to provide second-line oversight and produce board-quality reporting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to engage senior management and regulators
- Full working rights in Australia
- Experience in a fintech, retail broker, or payments environment
- Familiarity with DDO compliance
- Exposure to crypto asset compliance and ASIC's digital asset regulatory framework
- RG 146 certification
- Exposure to superannuation regulation, APRA prudential standards, the SIS Act, and external trustee operating models
Responsibilities
- Execute elements of the compliance strategy for eToro Australia with the Head of Risk and Compliance
- Support regulatory relationships with ASIC, APRA, AUSTRAC, the Privacy Commissioner, and the ATO
- Develop and maintain the AFCA relationship and represent eToro on AFCA-related matters
- Enhance the risk and compliance management framework with the Executive Team
- Provide second-line oversight, challenge, and reporting on compliance frameworks, obligations registers, and compliance plans
- Assist with compliance plan monitoring and follow-up reviews
- Support risk identification, monitoring, incident management, and control reviews
- Support governance and regulatory oversight with Spaceship Super’s external trustee
- Develop and conduct risk and compliance training programs
- Support new product launches, data analysis, compliance audits, and remediation planning
