About the Role
You will own frames, enclosures, and lifting and transport structures from released drawings through rate production. You will work daily on the manufacturing line, resolve fit-up and weld issues, answer RFIs, run first-article reviews and fit checks, and incorporate manufacturing learnings into drawings, tolerances, and the BOM.
Requirements
- Hands-on structural engineering experience for complex physical products, modular construction, or heavy fabrication
- Experience working on a shop floor or fabrication line and dispositioning nonconformances
- Experience supporting production launches of own designs
- Ability to maintain configuration control across drawings, tolerance stacks, and BOMs
Responsibilities
- Own structural systems for the modular product through rate production
- Walk the Phoenix manufacturing line daily and resolve fit-up and weld issues
- Answer RFIs and engineer fixes into subsequent revisions
- Run first-article reviews and fit checks
- Incorporate manufacturing learnings into drawings, tolerances, and the BOM
