About the Role
You will identify and recommend investment ideas, analyze and monitor portfolio holdings, and conduct fundamental sector and industry research to support stock selection and portfolio construction. You will communicate investment recommendations, maintain research relationships, conduct field research, interview executives, attend industry conferences, and complete additional projects requested by management.
Requirements
- More than 5 years of buy-side experience as an Analyst covering small- and mid-cap industrials.
- Strong knowledge of accounting and finance.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Ability to analyze and model financial metrics, business strategies, and valuation parameters.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize time and manage multiple tasks.
- Customer service orientation.
- Ability to work effectively on industry or portfolio teams.
- Strong organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Identify and recommend new investment ideas to help portfolio managers generate above-market returns.
- Analyze and monitor developments affecting assigned portfolio holdings.
- Perform fundamental analysis of sectors and industries to support stock selection and portfolio construction.
- Communicate investment recommendations to portfolio managers and analysts.
- Develop and maintain relationships with company management, industry contacts, brokers, and analysts.
- Conduct field trips, interview company executives, and attend industry conferences.
- Participate in projects requested by management.
