About the Role

Produce sell-side quality equity research covering companies and tokens at the intersection of crypto and traditional fintech. Initiate coverage on defined names, build financial models, and deliver published research during a focused six-month engagement with potential conversion to full-time employment.

Requirements

  • Experience in equity research, investment banking, or asset management.
  • Strong financial modeling skills, including DCFs, comps, and scenario analyses.
  • Ability to produce quality work with minimal ramp-up.
  • Passion for crypto and fintech with conviction on covered names.
  • Clear and persuasive writing skills.
  • Self-directed approach and ability to thrive in fast-moving environments.
  • Based in the broader New York City area.
  • Experience covering fintech, payments, or digital assets is a bonus.
  • Published research acted on by institutional investors is a bonus.

Responsibilities

  • Write actionable sell-side research on securities and revenue-generating tokens with thesis points and price targets.
  • Build and maintain DCF and comparable-company models with bear, base, and bull scenarios.
  • Initiate coverage across crypto equities and revenue-generating tokens in neobanks, payments, lending, trading, and prediction markets.
  • Develop and defend investment theses through rigorous fundamental analysis.
  • Monitor earnings, filings, and market-moving developments across the coverage set.
  • Deliver a portfolio of published research over the six-month engagement.
  • Contribute to Artemis's fintech investing platform vision.
