About the Role

In this hands-on role, you will test and validate robotics hardware and software systems. You will execute functional, performance, and durability test plans; document results and issues; and work with engineers to troubleshoot problems. You will set up, maintain, and calibrate test fixtures and equipment, interpret electrical schematics and technical test plans, modify Python scripts for test automation and data analysis, communicate test status and findings, and maintain a safe, organized testing environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a hands-on technical role testing hardware and/or software systems
• Familiarity with Python scripting for data collection and test automation
• Understanding of data logging and analysis
• Proficiency with Google Sheets or similar platforms
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and technical specifications
• Organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work on-site five days per week in San Francisco
• Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent professional experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on hardware and software tests for robotics and automation systems
• Conduct functional, performance, and durability testing based on engineering test plans
• Record and document test results, observations, issues, and data logs
• Collaborate with engineers to debug and troubleshoot testing issues
• Set up, maintain, and calibrate test fixtures and equipment
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical test plans
• Use and modify Python scripts to automate test procedures and analyze data
• Communicate test status and findings to the engineering team
• Maintain a safe and organized lab and testing environment
