About the Role

You will advise assigned organizations on quality requirements and practices. You will plan and review quality activities, support supplier quality and software quality assurance, conduct assessments, resolve quality issues, deliver training, and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • BS degree in science, engineering, health and safety, quality assurance, or a related technical field
  • Minimum five years of relevant quality or research experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience applying quality assurance requirements in technical, research, operational, or regulated activities
  • Ability to obtain and maintain ISO 9001 lead auditor certification
  • Ability to travel as needed, typically 5% or less annually
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance
  • Pass a pre-placement drug test and participate in ongoing random drug testing
  • Visa sponsorship is not available

Responsibilities

  • Advise organizations, projects, and programs on quality matters
  • Identify customer needs, priorities, risks, and appropriate quality assurance practices
  • Interpret and apply DOE, ISO 9001, and laboratory quality requirements
  • Develop and revise quality plans, procedures, checklists, technical documents, and work controls
  • Support procurement and supplier quality activities
  • Support software quality assurance self-assessments and issue resolution
  • Support suspect and counterfeit item identification, reporting, and resolution
  • Conduct assessments and monitor performance, risk, and trends
  • Facilitate resolution of nonconformances, deviations, findings, and corrective actions
  • Develop and deliver quality assurance training
  • Build collaborative relationships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders
