About the Role

You will lead quality planning for prototype and development aircraft builds and establish the Seattle quality operation. You will build the quality team, maintain the quality management system, lead certification readiness and audits, and establish inspection capability. You will own production quality performance, nonconformance and MRB processes, corrective actions, supplier quality, acceptance evidence, and quality reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality, or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years of leadership experience in quality, product assurance, or reliability.
  • Experience leading quality from prototype or new product introduction into sustained production.
  • Ability to build and scale quality teams and systems.
  • Expertise in containment, root-cause analysis, MRB, corrective and preventive action, and continuous improvement.
  • Working knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001.
  • Experience with complex assembly, inspection, configuration control, traceability, and product acceptance.
  • Ability to influence senior leaders across Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain.

Responsibilities

  • Lead quality planning and execution for prototype and development builds.
  • Identify product and process risks and define critical controls.
  • Establish configuration and traceability controls.
  • Define quality-readiness criteria for pre-series builds and production launch.
  • Recruit, develop, and lead the quality team.
  • Establish and maintain the quality management system.
  • Lead certification readiness and internal, customer, and external audits.
  • Establish receiving, in-process, and final-inspection capability.
  • Own production quality performance.
  • Lead containment, root-cause analysis, and corrective action.
  • Own the nonconformance and MRB process.
  • Resolve incoming supplier-quality issues.
  • Define acceptance evidence and ensure aircraft meet requirements before release.
