About the Role
You will serve as a senior nuclear quality assurance authority. You will interpret ASME NQA-1 requirements, lead quality strategies and assessments, resolve significant quality issues, advise management, evaluate technical activities, manage supplier quality, and mentor technical staff.
Requirements
- BS in engineering, science, quality assurance, or a related technical field with at least 12 years of nuclear-related quality assurance experience; MS with at least 10 years; or PhD with at least 7 years
- Extensive experience in nuclear quality assurance or a highly regulated nuclear technical environment
- Advanced knowledge of ASME NQA-1 requirements
- Experience independently resolving complex technical or quality assurance problems
- Experience leading significant technical projects, programs, assessments, or quality assurance functions
- Ability to qualify as a radiological worker
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal PIV card
Responsibilities
- Provide authoritative guidance on nuclear quality assurance and ASME NQA-1 requirements
- Evaluate and resolve complex quality assurance issues
- Advise management on quality risks, program effectiveness, and technical strategies
- Lead quality assurance strategies, plans, procedures, and requirements
- Lead nuclear procurement quality assurance activities
- Evaluate engineering, procurement, fabrication, maintenance, inspection, and testing activities
- Plan and manage assessments, audits, surveillances, and independent reviews
- Lead resolution of nonconforming conditions, findings, events, and adverse trends
- Provide guidance on software quality assurance requirements
- Analyze quality performance information and lead improvement initiatives
- Mentor quality professionals and technical staff
- Travel to support supplier and quality assurance activities
