About the Role
You will lead and improve the Quality Management System for manufacturing operations. You will establish quality policies, inspection plans, acceptance criteria, and production controls. You will oversee audits, inspections, nonconforming material, corrective actions, quality metrics, and quality personnel while improving manufacturing quality and traceability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Manufacturing Quality or a related technical field or equivalent experience
- 5–10+ years of quality experience in aerospace defense UAV aviation or complex electromechanical manufacturing
- 3+ years of leadership or management experience
- Experience supporting low-rate high-mix manufacturing
- Experience working on production floors and collaborating cross-functionally
Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve the Quality Management System in alignment with AS9100
- Develop and enforce quality policies procedures work instructions and inspection criteria
- Support external customer and regulatory audits
- Lead quality operations across assembly fabrication integration and test operations
- Establish inspection plans acceptance criteria and manufacturing quality controls
- Monitor production quality metrics
- Own the Material Review Board process and disposition nonconforming material
- Drive corrective and preventive actions to closure
- Oversee inspection personnel and final acceptance testing
- Maintain calibrated tooling and measurement systems
- Build develop and mentor quality personnel
- Drive collaboration across quality production supply chain and engineering
