About the Role
You will design, analyze, model, fabricate, and test propulsion-system components and systems. You will perform fluid-thermal trade studies, create component models and specifications, support procurement and engine testing, post-process results, and present technical reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a similar field
- 2+ years of propulsion-system design, analysis, manufacturing, integration, or test experience
- Fluid-thermal design and analysis experience using system-level modeling tools
- Solid-modeling experience
- Experience designing or specifying fluid-system components
- Teamwork, multitasking, and self-direction
- U.S. Person status and eligibility for required export authorizations
Responsibilities
- Support the design and testing of rocket propulsion systems
- Size propulsion components
- Perform propulsion-system fluid-thermal trade studies
- Create solid models of propulsion components
- Create component specifications and support procurement
- Develop test plans, execute tests, and post-process results
- Support rocket-engine and component testing
- Write technical reports and present findings
