About the Role

You provide full-cycle accounting support for property management operations, prepare financial statements and reconciliations, manage ledgers and distributions, monitor tenant and vendor transactions, support audits, research accounting regulations, and complete tax reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent preferred
• 3+ years of real estate accounting experience
• Public accounting experience highly preferred
• Proficiency using Excel and Google Suite products
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
• Client focus
• Ability to handle ambiguity
• Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment

Responsibilities

• Provide daily accounting functions for multiple regions
• Prepare and distribute monthly GAAP financial reports
• Prepare accrual journal entries and financial statement reconciliations
• Prepare monthly client distributions
• Review and maintain general ledger accuracy
• Reconcile balance sheets and subsidiary ledgers
• Support accounting managers with projects, monthly closes and distributions
• Monitor cash receipts, tenant billings and billing adjustments
• Perform tenant ledger reconciliations
• Review invoice coding and workflows
• Coordinate with departments on financial package accuracy
• Research historical cash transactions
• Assist internal and external auditors
• Research state accounting laws and regulations
• Prepare annual 1099 and 1096 reporting
• Prepare quarterly 592 and 588 forms
