About the Role
Lead health, safety, and environmental programs during high-risk hyperscale data center construction, including site oversight, contractor management, safety metrics, electrical commissioning safety, audits, leadership meetings, and emergency preparedness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in heavy industrial construction safety
- Current OSHA 30-Hour Construction or OSHA 510 certification
- First Aid, CPR, and AED certification
- Deep working knowledge of OSHA construction regulations and NFPA 70E
- Ability to influence site leadership and manage safety performance under aggressive timelines
- Ability to work full-time on active construction sites, including walking long distances, climbing ladders, and working outdoors
- Drug and alcohol program participation is required
Responsibilities
- Own site-wide HSE programs for hyperscale data center construction projects
- Perform daily walkthroughs focused on trenching, crane operations, scaffolding, and heavy equipment
- Partner with prime contractors to implement safety programs
- Track and report incident rates, near misses, and leading safety indicators
- Lead safety oversight during the transition to live power environments
- Audit prime contractor safety programs
- Lead weekly safety leadership meetings
- Establish and maintain emergency response plans, evacuation routes, and medical response procedures
