About the Role
You will lead community strategy in South Africa for a major mobile game. You will design and run university programs, tournaments, and engagement campaigns; recruit and manage ambassadors; maintain operational documentation; drive local community engagement and events; and turn community data and feedback into actionable reports.
Requirements
- 3+ years of post-university experience
- Program management skills with a track record of coordinating tasks, tracking deliverables, and keeping projects on schedule
- Strong documentation skills for creating playbooks, guides, and reports
- Passion for gaming
- Familiarity with Discord, Reddit, and online community spaces
- Communication skills for engaging a diverse player base
Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and manage regional community programs, tournaments, and engagement campaigns in South African universities
- Recruit, onboard, and manage ambassador networks across Discord, WhatsApp, and social platforms
- Create, update, and maintain community operations documentation
- Drive engagement with the South African gaming community, manage regional LiveOps, and execute local events
- Track community sentiment, program performance, and engagement metrics
- Compile weekly and monthly reports and translate community feedback into actionable insights
