About the Role

You support cost management across a portfolio of projects by preparing financial reports, checking cost allocations and purchase order coding, reviewing subcontractor invoices, establishing budgets and performance metrics with project teams, tracking actuals and estimates at completion, monitoring milestones and risks, reporting project status, maintaining documentation, reviewing cash flows and contract changes, and analyzing project data.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • 2–5 years of experience in cost controls or financial analysis
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Ability to multitask and balance responsibilities in a dynamic environment
  • High level of professionalism
  • Experience in construction, oil and gas, or engineering preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare project financial reports
  • Ensure accurate cost allocations
  • Monitor purchase orders for cost coding
  • Review subcontractor invoices
  • Establish project budgets, schedules, and performance metrics
  • Track project actuals and estimates at completion against baseline budgets
  • Monitor progress against milestones and identify risks
  • Provide project status updates to project managers and stakeholders
  • Maintain organized project documentation
  • Review cash flows, contract terms, and change orders for financial impact
  • Use data, reports, and tools for analysis and benchmarking
