About the Role
You will coordinate Science Services projects, support program planning and delivery, facilitate expert and steering-committee engagements, and manage event logistics. You will cultivate external relationships, identify project and funding opportunities, and support work involving artificial intelligence, quantum, and other emerging technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years of professional experience in science or government affairs
- Program or project-management or policy-related experience
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
- Analytical and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Commitment to confidentiality
Responsibilities
- Coordinate project planning, implementation, and evaluation for Science Services projects
- Support project scopes, deliverables, timelines, and partner engagement initiatives
- Convene steering committees and expert interviews and prepare meeting materials
- Coordinate event objectives, logistics, invitations, materials, RSVPs, budgets, timelines, and advisory committees
- Guide venue selection and event design
- Cultivate relationships with partner institutions, government partners, professional organizations, and experts
- Represent the organization in meetings with legislators, executive-branch staff, and stakeholders
- Identify project opportunities, funding sources, and strategic partnerships
