About the Role
You will lead the post-flight map-production operation, ensuring farmers receive accurate maps the day after image capture. You will manage specialists and seasonal technicians, prioritize order queues, resolve processing issues, improve workflows, plan capacity, and establish scalable processes for new map products.
Requirements
- 3+ years managing or operating a production, fulfillment, processing, or data-operations function with daily throughput or turnaround commitments
- Experience creating and planning shift schedules
- Experience building processes and owning success metrics
- Experience managing a small team and recruiting and training seasonal or temporary staff
- Windows troubleshooting skills
- Ability to troubleshoot software and server error messages
- Google Sheets tracking and reporting skills
- Experience writing SOPs and training materials
- Experience developing metrics and capacity plans
- Agriculture, geospatial, remote sensing, drone imagery, or GIS exposure
- Experience scaling an operation or launching a new product line
- Familiarity with AI, software, and automation
Responsibilities
- Own next-day, high-quality map delivery
- Oversee a 24/7 in-season production team
- Develop, report, and improve turnaround and quality metrics
- Prioritize daily order queues with each shift
- Triage and resolve pipeline errors and order issues
- Communicate reliable order statuses and delivery dates
- Troubleshoot recurring failures with Product and Engineering teams
- Implement process improvements and automation
- Coordinate image-capture quality and handoff protocols with Flight Operations
- Manage production operations specialists
- Recruit, onboard, and train seasonal processing technicians
- Plan seasonal shift coverage
- Maintain SOPs, training materials, and process documentation
- Build seasonal capacity plans, budgets, staffing plans, and infrastructure requirements
- Define production processes and quality-control protocols for new map products
