About the Role
You will lead product-facing model evaluation and turn evaluation results, leaderboards, customer feedback, and usage data into ranked research priorities. You will set direction for applied post-training, define the data needed to improve models, and co-lead model releases by owning quality go/no-go decisions and capability claims.
Requirements
- Product or research product management experience working directly on generative models
- Technical understanding of evaluation design, finetuning, and reinforcement learning
- Ability to make prioritization trade-offs with incomplete information
- Experience working in an ambiguous and fast-changing research environment
Responsibilities
- Own the product-facing evaluation taxonomy, strategy, and evaluation runs
- Maintain ranked model-improvement priorities using evaluations, leaderboards, customer feedback, and usage data
- Set priorities for applied researchers conducting finetuning and reinforcement learning
- Define success criteria and verify improvements do not introduce regressions
- Define the data needed to measure and improve models
- Co-lead model releases and own quality go/no-go decisions and capability claims
