About the Role
You will own quality assurance across component suppliers, server manufacturers, and rack integration partners. You will establish inspection and quality-control processes, define test coverage, investigate failures, analyze quality metrics, conduct supplier audits, and improve manufacturing processes from product introduction through volume production.
Requirements
- 5+ years of quality, supplier quality, or manufacturing quality engineering experience
- Experience supporting L6 components, L10 server assembly, and L11 rack integration
- Knowledge of PCB/A manufacturing, SMT, SPI, AOI, and X-ray inspection
- Experience managing IQC, IPQC, and OQC systems in high-volume manufacturing
- Knowledge of 8D, CAPA, FMEA, SPC, Cpk, control plans, and statistical process control
- Experience improving yield, DPPM, defect density, and production escapes
- Familiarity with server assembly, burn-in, and system-level testing
- Cross-functional communication skills
- Ability to work on-site at supplier and contract-manufacturer factories
- Experience with AI ASIC, high-performance compute hardware, thermal or power stress testing, NPI ramps, or supplier quality strategy
Responsibilities
- Lead quality assurance across semiconductor, PCB/A, component, server, and rack integration partners
- Establish IQC, IPQC, and OQC processes, inspection criteria, control plans, and quality gates
- Oversee SMT inspection and defect-prevention processes
- Define system-level test coverage, burn-in protocols, and acceptance criteria
- Drive failure analysis, root-cause investigations, CAPA, and FMEA
- Track and report yield, Cpk, SPC, defect density, escapes, and DPPM
- Participate in ECO and NPI reviews to enforce quality gates
- Conduct supplier audits and ensure adherence to quality standards
- Improve line capability, documentation, training, and process controls
