About the Role

You will join the Financial Data Team as a Product Manager specializing in Taxonomy, bringing a strong analytical mindset and expertise in data governance to drive alignment across technical and business stakeholders. You'll own and evolve the structured financial data taxonomy library, ensuring backwards compatibility and future proofing while setting labeling conventions and governance standards. You'll work closely with engineering, data, product, sales, and client-facing teams to translate conceptual frameworks into scalable, production-ready systems. As the internal subject matter expert on data semantics, you'll maintain documentation, resolve gaps as new datasets are onboarded, and design taxonomy structures with AI and LLM compatibility in mind, laying the foundation for a future taxonomy practice.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a highly analytical field such as Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline
• 5+ years of experience working with data structures, taxonomy, or data governance
• At least 2 years in a product management or closely adjacent cross-functional role
• A genuine interest in financial data and capital markets
• A proven analytical mindset with ability to translate complex, ambiguous data challenges into structured frameworks
• Hands-on experience leveraging AI and LLM tools as an internal practitioner
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in data management tools such as SQL and Python

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the structured financial data taxonomy library, including client-facing labels, metric definitions, and dataset classifications
• Ensure backwards compatibility and future proofing of taxonomy standards
• Define label conventions and governance principles across a growing range of data types
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, data, product, sales, and client-facing teams to align on taxonomy decisions
• Translate conceptual frameworks into scalable, production-ready systems
• Serve as the internal subject matter expert on data semantics
• Develop and maintain internal and external documentation of taxonomy standards
• Identify gaps and inconsistencies as new datasets are onboarded and drive structured resolution
• Design and maintain taxonomy and data structures with AI and LLM compatibility as a core consideration
• Build repeatable frameworks to lay the foundation for a future taxonomy practice
