About the Role
You will build transcription features end to end for a desktop application. You will work on audio capture, echo cancellation, transcription models, diarisation, user interfaces, logging, and evaluations while improving application reliability and speaking directly with users.
Requirements
- Experience with audio capture and real-time media pipelines
- Engineering experience at technology and product-driven companies
- Proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, and React
- Ability to work with native code and OS audio APIs
- Knowledge of CoreAudio and WASAPI
- Experience with speech-to-text models or providers
Responsibilities
- Build transcription features end to end
- Implement audio capture on macOS and Windows
- Develop echo cancellation and transcription-provider connections
- Work with local transcription models
- Build diarisation and attribution capabilities
- Develop desktop transcription user interfaces
- Create logging and evaluations
- Optimise application speed, scale, and reliability
- Interact with users to understand problems and design solutions
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers
