About the Role
Infact is hiring an early-career Product Engineer to build, test, ship, and operate Go microservices powering lender-facing B2B APIs. The role reports to the CTO, includes senior-engineer mentorship and end-to-end feature ownership, and involves AWS infrastructure, containers, CI/CD, product thinking, code quality, and responsible use of AI development tools.
Requirements
- Some commercial software engineering experience or equivalent evidence of building and shipping real software; approximately one to three years is expected.
- Strong Go skills through commercial work or substantial projects.
- A product mindset focused on users, problems, and production-ready design.
- Fluent, deliberate use of AI development tools such as Claude, with accountability for the resulting code.
- Familiarity with AWS, containers, and CI/CD, with willingness to learn the listed technologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills, openness to constructive feedback, continuous-learning mindset, and bias to action.
- Interest in fintech, credit, or regulated industries; direct experience is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
- Build, test, and ship features in Go API services.
- Own features from design discussion through production behavior and customer outcomes.
- Work with AWS infrastructure, containers, and CI/CD pipelines, and operate what you build.
- Contribute to code reviews, design discussions, and technical decisions.
- Use AI tooling deliberately to improve development quality and pace while remaining accountable for shipped code.
