About the Role

You will advise on products and payment flows from ideation through launch and ongoing evolution. You will lead product risk assessments, translate regulatory obligations into practical controls, identify compliance gaps, develop reusable guidance, and help automate compliance workflows with technology and AI.

Requirements

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in product compliance, payments risk, financial crime, product risk, product management, or a similar role in fintech, payments, or financial services
  • Strong understanding of digital products, payment flows, and customer journeys
  • Experience translating regulatory or risk requirements into product, process, or control solutions
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Business, Risk, or Compliance teams
  • Ability to manage ambiguous problems through assessment, recommendation, and implementation
  • Strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to influence teams without formal authority
  • Experience with cross-border payments, remittances, stablecoins, digital assets, crypto, cards, fraud, financial crime, KYC, KYB, or multi-jurisdictional regulation is preferred
  • SQL, APIs, workflow or automation tools, and AI tools are advantageous

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product, Business, and Engineering teams through product development
  • Assess products, features, payment methods, partnerships, and material changes
  • Lead new product risk assessments and identify regulatory, financial crime, and operational risks
  • Translate regulatory obligations into product requirements and controls
  • Review products and processes for compliance gaps and emerging risks
  • Drive remediation and track controls through implementation
  • Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact
  • Develop jurisdictional guidance, playbooks, and compliance knowledge
  • Identify opportunities for automation and AI-assisted compliance workflows
